Documented Life Project - the unPlanner - Week 6

Welcome to the month of February and Week Six of the Documented Life Project - the unPlanner.  Let's dive right in, shall we?

My divider for this month started out as a gelli print on bristol.  I cut it down to size and sprayed the back of it with Dylusions Ink Sprays.  I let it dry over night.  On the front I used a handmade bird stencil, Black Marble Dylusions Paint, the Arrow Border (large) stencil by Dylusions, a white Uni-Ball Signo pen, and some word stickers.  The back of my divider was sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in white through a Dina Wakley Crafter's Workshop stencil.  I added the birds and hearts (stamps by Dina Wakley), some Valentine themed washi tape, and added my Goals and Words to meditate on using my white Signo pen.

I sprayed a #8 manila craft tag with dylusions inks, added some stamps (Dina Wakley), a piece of coordinating washi tape and used a black Stabilo pencil for the circles.

I've never used tags before this challenge and I am finding out just how much I love using them!

My Month View page - full of things I need to do for this month.  I chose to do the monthly Theme Challenge on the back of my Monthly View page again.  I like doing that and think I will continue putting it there.

I used strips of different washi tapesand added layers of turquoise and white paints.  I added some pink triangles through a Heidi Swapp stencil and then added a pop of orange using the Rosetta stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.  I outlined the orange with a black Stabilo pencil as well as wrote the words "love" and "leap".  I used alphabet stamps to create the rest of the words and included a quote from Tim Holtz's Big Chat stickers.  I love love love how this theme challenge turned out!

I just completed an online class by Kate Crane (Journal Soup) which was so much fun.  I had to use some of her techniques to create my PAC for this week.  This PAC is actually created on a mini file folder by 7Gypsies so is larger than the standard ATC/PAC size.  The collaged head is by Crowabout StudioB and the word "journey" is from my stash.  I enclosed the whole thing in a page protector and added stitching around it.  Loved the lessons from the class and will definitely be using them more often!

Here are some more tags.  The #8 tag with the bird is the "pull" of extra ink from the tag above.  I love how it blended.  The stamps are by Dina Wakley again with elements of black Stabilo pencil.

The black tags are #5 size and I used a white Uni-Ball Signo and a purple Uni-Ball Signo Angelic to doodle on them.  I love to doodle white onto black, especially while I'm at work.  It's fairly quick and easy and it doesn't require many supplies.

Here's my Weekly View page for the week.  The dove on Friday the 12th is a die cut (Martha Stewart paper punch) made with my own gelli print - it matches the sides of my page.  I used my new Xyron Sticker Machine to make it a sticker!  I think I'm going to have lots of fun with that new machine.

I seem to be full up with the love bug this week and to celebrate Valentine's Day in my own special way, I included a little tid bit of things I love about each of my daughter's and my hubby on the back of my Weekly View page.  I added lots of Valentine's Day themed washi tape and used a few Dina Wakley stamps to decorate.

Well that's my share for this week!

Are y'all participating in DLP this year?  If so, how are y'all finding it?  More difficult, easier?  I'm finding my stride (I think) with it and am really enjoying the quickness of it.  I do miss art journaling though as I'm not doing much of that these days.  But this is a fun project to really get myself thinking in different ways!

I'll see y'all next time!

Until then,
