Documented Life Project 2016 - the unPlanner - Week One

Hello everyone and welcome to Week One of the DLP 2016 unPlanner!

Week One of every month is the most intense week of every month.  We'll be creating our monthly dividers, Monthly View Page, Weekly View Page(s), and of course a PAC (pocket art card).

I created my divider out of an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of Kraft Cardstock.  I cut it down, created a pocket, and used a hole punch to create the little scallops on the tab.

I sprayed Pomegranite Seed & Tangerine Dream Dylusions Ink Spray on both the front and back of my divider and let dry for a day.  Once dry, I used Purple Pizazz and Peacock Teal Americana Acrylics, my Gelli Plate, and two hot glue stencils to print the front of my dividers.  I then ghost printed the back side.  I used a couple of Dylusions stencils, a black Stabilo, Stamps from Unity Stamp Co., and my white Uni-ball Signo pen to finish.  I also added some of my gelli printed circle reinforcers.

 My monthly view page!

I cut strips of gelli prints to use as borders and doodled with a wide variety of pens.  The back of the page I used for the monthly theme challge: Going out on a limb, trying new things.  I used Faber-Castell Gelatos for the background and collaged book paper, a tag, and a gelli printed bird.  The word I want to focus on this year is "Believe" so you will find that word throughout my work this year.

My intention is to have some sort of art on the back of all of my pages.

The very beginning of the year!  Again, I'm using gelli printed strips on the sides of each of my pages.  Doodles with colored pencils, and my white Uni-Ball pen!  Love love love how vibrant it is on Kraft paper!

The back of this page is a To Do List and a Want/Wish List along with collaged bits from my Die Cuts stash, Dylusions Stamps, and Washi Tape.  I have a massive stash of scraps and die cuts that I want to use this year.

Here is the full week of Week One.  I'm using Prismacolor Colored pencils to do a lot of my coloring in.  I have a small set of 12 and a set of 24 Prismacolor Scholar colored pencils.  I'm not much of a colored pencil user but I thought I'd give it a try.  They do show up very well on kraft paper and I am trying to use things I normally don't!  Trying something new is the theme this month after all!!

This is my PAC for the week.  A PAC is a Pocket Art Card.  In other words.. it's an ATC.  Instead of creating large art journal spreads this year, we're making PACs.  Little bits of art to stick in our unPlanners.  I like the concept!  I attached my PAC this week to a tag so I could punch holes in it and add it to my binder.

That's the end of Week One!  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.  I'm really trying to figure out this whole planning thing and how to make it work for me.  Getting into the swing of things is really the most difficult part.

I'll see y'all back next Friday for Week Two!

Until then,
