Documented Life Project - the unPlanner - Week 13

Here we are at the very end of March - ok, it's actually April but this is the last week of March, so yeah.

It's been a fairly uneventful week other than my youngest being sick with a really bad ear infection which has taken all of my time.  I added lots of doodles and some Dylusions stamps to help fill in the gaps.

Because we're at the end of the month, I get to add my "What I Accomplished this Month" page!  It's been a pretty eventful month and I couldn't be happier with what I managed to get done.

I really haven't collected anything this month to go in my Monthly Pocket Picks so I opted to change that particular element to something a little different.

This "Noteworthy" pocket is from the pocket set I've been using all month.  I don't know who it's by, I only know I found it at Hobby Lobby - probably on clearance.  I added three of the DLP lists I printed on manila card stock to my pocket, punched a hole in the corner, added a painted reinforcer and a pretty ribbon.

The lists are "Loving This" - current favorite art supplies, "This Stuff" - my current top priority wish list, and a blank list I titled "Challenges" - current favorite artsy Challenges that I am participating in this year.

It's a pocket - they're picks.  I think it works!

This week's PAC challenge was "Celebrating White Space".  If you're familiar at all with my art work you will know that I am completely unable to leave white space at all.  I truly struggle with it!

I started with a sheet of bristol and stamped my small gelli plate randomly.  I then added some white back into my very colorful page.  I added dots of fluorescent pink using a foam texture plate.  I am loving using that texture plate!  It's one of a set a friend gave me and it is perfect!  After everything dried, I added scrapped a little black here and there and stamped the large ledger stamp here and there.  Once all of that was dry, I used White Linen Dylusions paint to stencil through my favorite Zinnia stencil.  I let that dry and did it a second time for more a more opaque white.

I found a jar of Glass Bead Glitter Gel on clearance at Michaels and had never used it before.  I figured it was white on a white base and would add some interesting texture.  I let that dry for several hours and then cut up that big beautiful sheet of yummy artsy goodness!  I'm getting so brave!  It was a struggle I admit.  I started to leave it as it was and use it for a divider but I was good and stuck with the plan!

I picked out four of my favorites and added a few word stickers.  Some are Tim Holtz Small Talk and the others are Tiny Text by Cosmo Cricket.

I took one of the Bo Bunny Page Protectors (the one with four ATC sized slots) and slipped in two pacs per pocket back to pack.  There was a little space left over so I decided to edge my page protector and fill in the remaining space around the PACs with strips of art paper by Crowabout Studio B.  I used my Photo Fuse tool to seal in all my bits.

I know it's kind of hard to see my PACs in the page protector so I've included a picture I unbelievably remembered to take before permanently putting them in their new home!  I think these are my favorite bits of art I've created all year!  And the awesome thing is I still have several more atc/pac sized pieces to use in something else.  Yay!

That was my March!  I hope you had a good one and I'll see you back here next week for April!

Until then,

Documented Life Project - the unPlanner - Week 12

Welcome back for another peek at my DLP unPlanner!  It wasn't much of a week - I've had other things going on but I did get some fun things created.

My Weekly View is full of doodles, stamping, and funky holidays.  The stamps are by Dylusions and are part of a clear stamp and stencil set only found at Michael's.

link here

The back of this week I used a resist pen (found at Michael's) to doodle a little bit.  I sprayed Dylusions Ink Sprays over the resist and while the yellow doesn't show up very well on the kraft paper it is still very fun.

The PAC challenge this week was to use arrows.  I sprayed an ATC base with Dylusions Ink Sprays in Bubblegum Pink and Vibrant Turquoise and ghosted a brick design (Tim Holtz stencil).  I then used gesso through the same Tim Holtz stencil.

I'm going to have to take photos of these stamp and stencil sets for y'all.  The Arrow stamps are from an Art C Stamp and Cut set called "Feathers" while the word "Inspire" and the compass are from the Tim Holtz set that came with the stencil.

I'd seen Dyan Reavely's video using black and pink dylusions ink to create a journal page.  I decided to do something similar on a large manila tag.

The small sized girl is a Dylusions stamp from a set exclusively at Michael's.

Yes, I kinda went a little crazy buying new supplies a couple of weeks in a row as Michael's was getting new things.  I'll take just have to make a special post about the (apparently) exclusive items.

I love how bright and colorful my List Ten is!  I printed it on white cardstock and then sprayed it with Dylusions Ink Sprays.  I know I'm addicted to my Dylusions but I can't help it.  The vibrancy really just can't be beat!

I used another exclusive-to-Michael's Tim Holtz stamp set - I swear you'll be seeing a post about this in April! - and black archival ink to stamp the map and plane.  I used my favorite white pen to doodle and create my list.

On the back of my List Ten, I sprayed Dylusions again and used a small paint brush dipped in white india ink to write my quote.  Whipped Spackle through a stencil and painty reinforcers finished it off.

That's my week leading up to Easter!  I hope you were able to spend an enjoyable holiday with your family.

I'll be back next week for the last of March!

Until then,
