Art Challenge: Using quotes and lyrics as storytelling

Journal Prompt:  "One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter." - James Earl Jones

Hello and happy Friday everyone!  It's definitely countdown time for the very last pages of this wonderful Documented Life Project journey.  What a blast it has been!

This week's challenge was to use quotes or lyrics as a way to tell a story.  I started out with a background and used Flossie & Bert as masks to keep some of that super busy background visible.  I outlined with my trusty Uni-Ball Signo and chose two quotes to go around my figures...

"I'm learning to trust the journey even when I do not understand it." - Mila Bron
"Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about it." - unknown

These quotes speak to the journey that I've undertaken with this year's DLP and my art in general.  I may not always understand it or know where it's going but I'm learning to trust myself.  Also, no matter how hard it gets or how much I just "can't get that nose right" I am learning to push and not give up.  Art to me is breathing... it's life, it's my own heart beat.  I dream about painting; I talk about painting; I watch videos and take classes to learn more about it.  I cannot go a single day, or even more than a couple of hours without thinking about art.

So that's what this page is to me... a manifestation of my love of, need for, to live for my art.

See y'all next week!
