ATC Monday - "Texture"

Good morning lovlies!  I hope y'all had a great weekend.  Mine was spent at work but in a very productive manner!  I am almost finished making up my Summer of Color pages and I finished one more make up and am nearly finished with another Documented Life Project page.

Anyway... on to to today's ATC.  This swap was all about Texture and Layers.  Y'all know by now how much I love my layers so making these was a breeze!  I actually made this set back in July during our #Instacraftcation weekend and I got to use Fluorescent Red acrylic for the first time.  It is so bright and so much fun!  I remember neon colors from growing up.  I'm a child of the '80's after all and neons were all the rage.  I haven't jumped on them like a lot a folks now because they weren't really my thing but I'm slowly starting to incorporate some into my art.  I used fluorescent red in last week's Documented Life Project Page and now in these cards.  It's fun but can definitely be overwhelming if used too much.

I started these cards with my favorite Dylusions Ink Sprays and added some stamped & hand drawn/painted shapes as well as some Tim Holtz Tissue tape.  I used Regular Gel Medium through a circle stencil to create some tangible texture.  It dried clear of course so it's not so visible but you can definitely feel it.  I also stamped a sentiment on a piece of scrap raw canvas which I attached with staples.  I'm not a big fan of the staples at all but I thought I'd give them a try.

Here are the supplies I used:

That's all I've got for today!  I'm off to finish up my DLP page, start a new one and finish up my SoC pages.  In other words... I'm off to make a mess!!!
