What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday - WOYWW - Surprise! Edition

Good morning my fellow deskers!  Let me appologize first and foremost for the grainy quality of my photos.  I could've turned on a light to take these rather than just opening the blinds but as my own eyes are only partially open and I'm trying to get this done before running out the door, this is what you get!

Surprise!  As you can see, I have changed my set up considerably since last week!  I realized that I kept shoving things forward and then I wouldn't be able to reach them.  It was driving me a little batty.  So this is a test set up.  I'm not sure it's going to stay this way but for now I kind of like it.  I need a spin-y desk chair now though.  This way too, y'all get to see a side of my studio previously unseen until now!  There is lots more to look at now.

Here are a few closer shots...

You can see the vague mess I was making on my main table here.  My doodles and scratches have grown on my underpaper!  Dirty paint water in that leaf... true sign creative things have been happening!  On the white table you can see my DLP journal opened to this week's challenge, my set of Gelatos, and a couple of stencils.

And here on my (new) side table, you can see a Cheap Joe's Art Stuff catalog (minus the cover as my tot got a hold of it first), my #30 Days of Lists journal... for those eagle eyed among you... yes it is actually turned to tomorrow's list.  I am working a little ahead in it this month.  Having gotten behind three times already I'm trying to be a list or two ahead.  At least in some of the doodles & extra bits.  The knit bits in the middle of the table are two of my slouch hats.  The Wee One was wanting to play a little dress up and how could I not oblige?  As you can see, I've added a second tiered spinner and reorganized the pair of them.  The one on the left carries my DecoArt products and the one on the right holds my Ink Sprays and Dylusions.

I'm linking up over at Julia's now, so if your curiosity hasn't been satisfied by my work space, I encourage you to hop over there and check out a plethora of other fabulous work spaces!

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Very nice! I think you have to change things up sometimes to really find out what's going to work the best. I had a completely different setup for about year before I realized how to arrange and organize things the best way! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

    1. Thank you for the visit Sandy! I think sometimes you can grow static and change - especially in a creative space can make the difference in getting the creative juices flowing again.

  6. My current desk is a kind of 'L' shape and - like your set up here - it's great to be able to turn round and leave a pile of things away from my immediate work area but still within arms reach! Before that I used to end up with things on the floor [and a bad back!].

Thanks for visiting my blog, and for introducing yourself. I do know what it's like to feel shy/awkward, so thank you. :-D
