ATC Monday - "Fourth of July"

Good Morning y'all!!!  It's MONDAY and that means it's time for the next round of ATC Monday!  I have a (very late) 4th of July themed ATC today.  This is one of those super easy to create yet oh-so-effective cards that I really enjoy.

Ok, here's how you do it...

Start with a blank ATC base of mixed media paper.

Smear Old Paper Distress Ink on your craft mat, spritz with water and smoosh your card through.  Yes, smoosh is a word in spite of what my spell check says!

Dry.  Repeat the smoosh to pick up a few more drops and smears of old paper.  Dry again.  I love this technique with the Distress Inks because you can get such an organic aged (and yes, distressed!) look to paper this way.

Stamp Tim Holtz's Americana Blueprint Flag in Red Ink (I used Stampabilities Dye Ink in Red).

Use a water brush and Salty Ocean Distress Ink to color the Field of Blue on your flag.

Stamp the USA Blueprint Stamp in black and ink your edges.

Told you it was easy!  I know it's been ages since the 4th but I hope y'all had a good one.  I love a good fireworks show.

Anyway, that's what I've got for today.  Come back and see me tomorrow for Week 1 of 30 Days of Lists and I'll see y'all back here for another edition of ATC Monday next week.

Until then,
