WOYWW - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Hi deskers!  Welcome back to a (late) WOYWW.  Through the magic of Blogger I can actually make it look like I posted this yesterday instead of today which is almost tomorrow!  Did you figure that one out?  Good on you!!!

I'm running atrociously behind on pretty much everything.  My hubby took a couple of days off from work so we've been having some much needed extra family time and we've been on the hunt for a rental house.  So here's what makes the house hunt both fun, frustrating, and a little exciting all at the same time.  We both work in a college town, in fact I actually work for the college itself.  And because of it being a college town, rentals are starting to pop up for new tenants now because the seniors graduate on May 9th.  However, new/returning college kids are eating up the rentals now for the next school year.  I mean it!  There were 2 houses we'd called about that were literally just rented by kids the day before.  So there is literally a teeny tiny window of opportunity that we are trying to catch.

That being said... we looked at a house yesterday.  Price is right, location is right, house is not quite right.  In fact it's pretty wrong in a lot of ways but it's manageable and we're not buying, just renting.  The only amazing thing I can truly say about that house is the outside doors and shutters are turquoise.  I will leave it at that.  While riding around yesterday discussing the house we'd just seen we did pass by a couple of other houses with "For Rent" signs.  I called them both.  One... price so not right so scratch that.  The other called me back today.  Price is right and according to what I've seen on Zillow it may very well be the right one.  I have an appointment Friday before work to view the house.  I am hoping beyond hope that this one will meet our needs.  This second one has 2 living rooms and a dining room according to the lady on the phone.  Who needs 2 living rooms?  No one... but I need an art studio!  I know y'all feel me on that!  So please wish me lots and lots of luck.

So with all of that going on - and I haven't even begun to think about packing yet - I am terribly behind on pretty much everything.  Especially laundry.

On to my desk though because I've got a wicked little mess going on this week.

Front and center you can see 2 journals I'm working on.  My little travel journal that I doodle in while at the park with the kids and my big Documented Life Project journal.  Check in on Friday to see what I'm hiding there!

There is quite a lovely little selection of paint, pens, Dylusions Inks, brushes, and paper towels.  The large stamp set is the April S.M.A.K. kit from Unity Stamp Co.

Can you see the blue topped canister next to my black lamp?  That's spray paint.  "Blue Ocean Breeze" by Krylon.  It has a purpose.  No, not to be used in my journal though I'm sure I could if I were feeling particularly brave.  But no, I'm feeling braver than that!  Remember that rusty icky white cart I found on the side of the road a couple of weeks back?

Yep, that's the one right there ------>

I had the notion when I found it to clean it up and spray paint it something pretty.  I have sand paper and I picked up the spray paint on Monday.  I have yet to even think about touching it!  Maybe once we move.  Maybe!!!

Well, that's all I've got for this week.  Been super busy, going to get busier.  I'm terribly sorry I've been such a snail about getting around to visit folks.  Y'all are so sweet to come by and leave me a comment.  I want y'all  to know how much I appreciate each and every one.  I am going to try while at work to come a-visiting.  I miss coming by each week and being nosey!

Thanks again for stopping by and head on over to Julia's for more awesome desks to visit!
