Vintage Love Letters for a Vintage Swap - Artist Trading Cards

I love vintage stuff.  I love seeing what people make that's "vintage".  But what I would really love?  Seeing how they make it!

This was my first foray into the world of "vintage" and really, I was just winging it.  I had no idea what I was going to do until I found some fabulous papers by Mod Podge in the clearance aisle at Michael's.  Have I mentioned that I live in that aisle?  I knew the paper would be perfect, especially with a little additional Distress inking!

Once I got home, I sifted through my stamps and decided upon an love letter.  That's considered vintage, right?

I used a new (to me) distress technique - I inked my "letter" and then crumpled it up.  Spreading it back out, but leaving the peaks, I lightly inked with Vintage Photo so they were darker.  It definitely made it look like a letter that had been crumpled and folded over and over again.  I took a sharp pair of scissors and frayed the edges before gluing.  I glued it down using glossy accents because I wanted to leave the corners and bits of the middle raised.

I cut little tags using my cricut, inked them with "Old Paper" and "Gathered Twigs", stamped the stamp and attached with brads.

They do fall into the category of "Vintage", right?  If not, it's too late, I've already sent them off to the swap master!
