Steampunk Swap #2 - Artist Trading Cards

I admit, I wasn't really feeling the whole "steampunk" thing again when I agreed to another Steampunk-themed swap.  But I gave it the "old college try" and I think they turned out pretty fun.

I wanted to try something a little different - go more in the clockwork direction than I did last time.  You can see those ATCs here.

Distress Ink background with a pretty little damask stamp in Grey.  Unfortunately, it wasn't easy to line up and mostly got covered.  Still pretty though!

I had envisioned a much different card than how this turned out.  I began by using some patterned velum to create pockets, which were supposed to hold the clock, but the clock turned out to be too large - I'd really liked it on those big circles.  So instead of having something to pull out of the pockets, I just glued them down as a collage element.  I added washi tape and a stamped word.  Stamped a balloon and attached angel wings I'd punched from patterned paper.  Gears and brads completed them.  They are very very different than what I first imagined, but not bad!  If I do say so myself.
