Imagined - an Art Journal Page

Ok, y'all.  I'm very nearly late, but my computer has been a giant pain this week.

But here's this week's art journal page.

It was inspired by Kristin's Summer of Color Four.  Search my blog for the label "Summer of Color" to see last week's journal page and/or visit Kristin over at Twinkle Twinkle to learn all about Summer of Color.

This week's color prompts were:  Coral, Teal, with a pop of White.  And I'm not going to lie - coral is one of my least favorite colors.  And I so so so wasn't feeling the page this week.  Materials List at the bottom.

Created with flickr slideshow.

So that was the art journal page for this week.

But I didn't stop there.  Being so uninspired by my journaling efforts, I took those same color prompts and whipped up this delightful ATC.  I much happier with these results.

Well that's what I've got for this week!

I'll be back Monday with a fabulous new journal page and video.  This weekend, I'm putting my nose to the grindstone as I have a TON of ATCs to do for upcoming swaps.

Y'all have a great weekend!

  1. Your journal spread is lovely, even if you weren't inspired by the coral color. I enjoyed the process, too.

I really like the ATC. I can see why you like it, because I sure do!!

  4. Seems like there are many people who aren't in favour of the colour coral :) You did a great job of both the journal page and the ATC.

    1. Thanks Cindy! Yeah, the ATC definitely was more fun to do. I think the smaller scale made it easier to work with those colors.
