Cross the Sea - an Art Journal Page

"You can't cross the sea by standing and staring at the water."

How true those words.  They're the theme of this art journal page.  I'm still playing with my gelatos and experimenting with other media.

As always, the materials used for this page are found at the bottom of this post.

Created with flickr slideshow.

The best part about this page was doing the wax resist.  Do y'all remember doing wax resists in elementary art classes?  I do!  I just couldn't resist trying it again after all these years.  I love how it really gives depth and the illusion of all those little particle things (I think they're plankton) floating in the ocean.

I hope y'all enjoy the page!  Be back soon.

Laters!

    1. Thanks Sheila! I'm enjoying the materials - some were found, some were tax money buys. But I really enjoy seeing what works together. :)
